For the fifth year in a row, the beloved Columbia Pop-Up Shop will open its doors at the historic old schoolhouse on Gall Road, welcoming back eager holiday shoppers. Open November 5th-30th, Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the pop-up is quickly becoming a local tradition that mixes small-town charm with big holiday spirit.
This year, The Shoppes at 510, a collective of six women – all Monroe County residents – are once again filling the building with carefully curated treasures. The Shoppes @ 510 is located at 510 N Main Street in Dupo but that location will be closed while they operate solely from the Pop-Up Shop for the holiday season. The Shoppes @ 510 specializes in repurposed, resale, and vintage-inspired décor and gifts, offering shoppers one-of-a-kind finds you simply won’t see anywhere else. For the holidays, their selection will sparkle with holiday magic with nostalgic Christmas ornaments to cozy vintage linens, handmade arrangements, and whimsical collectibles.
“The Columbia Pop-Up has become part of people’s holiday traditions,” said one of the organizers. “Customers tell us they look forward to coming every year, not just to shop, but to experience the atmosphere and reconnect with familiar faces.”
The City of Columbia owns and operates the pop-up space, renting it out seasonally with all proceeds going to a select charity. This unique partnership means every purchase not only supports local women entrepreneurs, but also benefits a greater cause within the community.
Visitors walking through the old schoolhouse are treated to rooms brimming with holiday cheer – twinkling trees, handmade wreaths, shelves of gifts ready to wrap, and vintage Christmas displays that spark warm memories of holidays past.
“This is my favorite stop every November,” said one loyal customer. “You can’t find this mix of old and new anywhere else. It feels like stepping into a Christmas storybook.”
Another shopper added, “I always come for the vintage décor, but I leave with gifts for everyone on my list. There’s something here for every age and every budget.”
With each passing year, The Shoppes at 510 at the Columbia Pop-Up Shop grows stronger, supported by loyal customers, a dedicated team of women vendors, and the charm of Columbia’s historic spaces.
So whether you’re looking for a nostalgic holiday decoration, a special one-of-a-kind gift, or simply a festive outing with family and friends, make sure to stop by before the pop-up closes on November 30.
As mentioned, The Shoppes @ 510 will be closed at their regular location in Dupo during November as they operate from the pop-up in Columbia. They are also closed during the month of December for their “long winter’s nap,” but welcome you to visit starting in January. Regular hours at the Dupo location are the third full weekend every month (the same days as the Belleville Flea Market), Friday, Saturday, Sunday 10am-3pm, and the Wednesday before from 3-7pm. If they quilt is flying, they’re open! Follow them on Facebook for updates.
